History
At the end of the 1980s, Jeannet van Abs began to give courses for making sun child dolls. The participants were very enthusiastic and asked her where they could buy the wonderful materials. This is how the ‘store’ began. The first doll jersey was purchased and the first do-itself doll kits were assembled. This all took place in the farmstead where Jeannet used to live. The farmstead was part of an area known as De Witte Engel and consisted of 5 farms and a bungalow. The Texel artist Monica Maas designed a wonderful logo and in January 1990, ‘De Witte Engel’ officially started. After two years, De Witte Engel moved to Den Burg. For five years, our clients found us in the coach house on the Warmoesstraat. In 1997, the store moved to Binnenburg 15, one of the oldest buildings in Den Burg. It was built more than 400 years ago. One year later, the wholesale moved to the Wezenland, an industrial area in Den Burg.
